Lesson One:What is a Computer?
In lesson one, I learned about the definition of a computer and how to identify a computer. This had been new to me before the assignment. The feedback I recieved reflected on the ability to analyze what makes a computer funtion. |
Lesson Two: Computer Components
In lesson, two, I analyzed each part of a basic, electronic, at-home computer. I learned each part and it's functions. A previous fact I had not known before was the functionality of a video card. This assignment also reinforced my prior knoledge of how a processor functions. |
Lesson Three: Search engines
In lesson three, I began to understand how to evaluate websites, protect myself online, and avoid malware. I learned that there are quite a few websites that can be used to detect viruses. In addition to this, I learned that there are a numerous amount of search engines that can be used besides Google, such as Ecosia and Yahoo. |
Lesson Four: Computers for Communications and it's impact on society
In lesson four, I learned the ways that computers communicate, how people communicate by using computers, and how the increase in communication has affected society. I learned the different parts of a computer and how they function. These parts include the modem, monitor, PCU, and keyboard. Prior to this, I had only memorized the external parts of a computer. I know know both the external and internal parts of a computer, alongside how they work. |
